Maple Syrup
Bobolink Maple Syrup
We have a small sugaring operation of 40-50 taps, from which we generate 11-12 gallons of maple syrup each year. This is enough to supply ourselves, give some as gifts, and have enough remaining to sell a bit each year. Get some while it’s still in stock!
New Sugar House!
In spring 2023 we moved operations into our cozy new sugarhouse, small but perfectly practical for the scale of our operation. Built by Colin Blackwell, the sugarhouse is made largely from reclaimed materials, including boards from the former shed and roofing from the old dairy barn. There is just enough space to tend the fire, monitor the sap levels, and have a mini-jam session! Folks are welcome to stop by during sugaring season when we are boiling, and catch a whiff of sweet steam.
Where to purchase
Syrup is available for direct purchase from the farm, while supplies last.
Maple Recipes
You don’t need to be told how versatile maple syrup is. We use it instead of cane sugar in almost all of our baking. Some of our favorite maple treats are maple black pepper pie in the winter, maple rhubarb mousse in the spring, maple berry ice cream in the summer, and maple pumpkin pie in the fall. Not to mention sugar on snow in March! The Vermont Maple Sugar Makers Association website has a ton of recipes, if you’re looking for inspiration.
